Preview policy
Website previews are low-resolution screenshots of source homepages.
Directory cards may show a small homepage screenshot to help visitors recognize the listed source. The preview is a navigational reference, not a copy of an artwork, product image, or standalone media asset.

What we capture
We capture the public homepage viewport, resize it into a small WebP preview, and store the source URL and capture time. We do not use login-only content, bypass access controls, or intentionally extract individual artwork files as card images.

Removal or replacement
- Rights holders can request removal of a preview image.
- Listed sources can request a replacement screenshot if the current preview is outdated.
- Blocked, login-gated, or inappropriate screenshots can be reverted to the abstract fallback visual.
- Each preview records its source URL and capture timestamp for review.
1Receive request
We identify the profile, screenshot file, source URL, and requester context.
2Remove or replace
The preview can be deleted from the metadata map and the card will fall back automatically.
3Republish
The updated profile is rebuilt with either a replacement preview or the abstract visual.
